A growing income base
With the growth of higher skilled, higher paying jobs, 
Manatee County has seen an increase in per capita income.
Per Capita Income - 2008
In 2008, Manatee County had a per capita personal income (PCPI) of $40,353. This PCPI ranked 14th in the state and was slightly higher than the state average of $39,064.  It was also slightly higher than the national average of $40,166.
