The
Economic Development Council, a division of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce,
is the only organization in Manatee County responsible for attracting and
retaining "value-added" business within the community. |

Through a
collaborative effort between "value-added" business, education, and
workforce-related agencies, the Manatee EDC is able to promote linkages of
resources and implementation of innovative workforce programs designed to
help local employers maintain a viable, skilled workforce. |

The EDC is funded by local businesses and government and is charged
with the promotion of economic stability in Manatee County. |

serves as a resource broker, matching the needs of existing and new
industries with local, regional and state resources. There is no charge for these services. |
