Workforce Development
The Economic Development Council, a division of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, is the only organization in Manatee County responsible for attracting and retaining "value-added" business within the community.
Through a collaborative effort between "value-added" business, education, and workforce-related agencies, the Manatee EDC is able to promote linkages of resources and implementation of innovative workforce programs designed to help local employers maintain a viable, skilled workforce.

JobFocus.com is a web site designed to link local job seekers with local companies. There is no charge to either job seekers or employers to use the site.

Industry Services
The Economic Development Council is a division of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce.  It is the only formal organization in Manatee County with the responsibility of retaining and attracting “value-added” industries to the community.  The EDC is funded by local businesses and government and is charged with the promotion of economic stability in Manatee County.
The organization serves as a resource broker, matching the needs of existing and new industries with local, regional and state resources.  There is no charge for these services.
